Our History

Since 1958, Whiteville Plywood has been a cornerstone of the Whiteville Community and a major source of quality plywood for the home and office furniture, kitchen cabinet, and store fixture industries.

With the recent addition of woodworking machinery such as our computer numerically controlled drills and routers, Whiteville Plywood has the capability of producing high quality custom machined parts for many applications including entertainment centers, desks, credenzas, shelving, and more.

More of the History of Whiteville Plywood will be detailed in later versions of the Whiteville Plywood home page.

1n 1913, the current plant was open for manufacturing.  In 1958, the plant changed names from Waccamaw Veneer to Whiteville Plywood.  The high quality and attention to details remains as consistent today as it was then.
